Speaking on the shooting he said: 'I just shot through the door'. When asked on why he opened fire, he said: 'I didn't see anyone'. The alleged gunman was apprehended three minutes after he fired shots Friday morning by school resource officer Deputy James Long, who is now being praised for his quick thinking.
